In order to obtain info from
iZone you dial a special number that contains stars
(*) and ends with a hash (#) sign, eg. *120*500#.
These symbols, added to
the telephone number you dial, tell iZone where to go
to find the info you require. Once you've
dialled the main number you can get more info by sending
iZone the number of the next menu you require, eg. (ANSWER)
5 (SEND) to get to 'GoingOut' and then (ANSWER) 2 (SEND)
to get to 'movie' schedules. Through
dial can get you to a menu directly for example
dial *120*500*4*2#
to go to movie schedules.
Any number that you can
dial direct you can also store in your phone book, eg.
*120*500*4*2#
can be stored under 'movies'. Now by searching under "M"
you can directly access the movie schedules.
It gets even better, you
can store the 'movie' schedules, or any other access number,
under a Short-Dial key so that you can access 'movies'
directly by pressing the relevant Short-Dial key for a
few seconds.
Any iZone number that is
not marked by an arrow (>) can be dialled directly, eg.
*120*66843#
= *120*movie# takes you to the 'movie' schedules
without going through iZone. Through-Dial
can also be used here, eg. *120*66843*1#
will get you directly into Ster Kinekor.
If you run out of Short-Dial
keys or you cannot remember them, here is another neat
trick if you store a number under 'sport' in your phonebook
and you enter a digit in front of the name you stored
the entry under eg. "8
sport" your phone stores this number last in your
phone list, by using the up or down scrolling keys you
now have easy access to any entry stored in this way.
As we said any item marked
by an arrow (>) cannot be directly dialled and has to
be accessed through iZone. Keep an eye on
this, because we are improving iZone all the time and
items which cannot be dialled directly now will be accessible
through Direct-Dial in the future.
Different phone models
either default to Alpha or to Numeric mode, this is a
matter of getting use to, unfortunately there is nothing
we can do about this.
iZone needs certain input
to find exactly what you are looking for. If
you get the same menu after selecting an option, you have
sent invalid input. Remember not to enter
text where numeric input is requested and vice versa.
We've designed features
into iZone that if a session is terminated incorrectly,
dropped, or you need more time to get to the info (timeout),
iZone will restart where you left off, pretty neat isn't
it?
If you use the 'movie'
or 'mall' feature which requires location input, iZone
automatically remembers the last location you searched
under and will default to that location next time you
use it.
There are applications
such as 'movie', SABC or Forex that allow you to set triggers
or reminders, the application itself will indicate when
these options are available.
When we offer 'live scores'
under a sporting event the info is dynamic which means
that we update the screen as the games are coming into
our system. Keep an eye on the various sporting
events since info will be updated on an hourly basis.
